Urgent Whispers: Care of the Dying
by Jerral Sapienza

In Brief:
This new "map & compass for the soul" Urgent Whispers: Care of the Dying rolls off the presses, available to assist home hospice caregivers, hospice volunteers, hospital workers, students of Thanatology / Death & Dying and friends or family of a dying loved one in their important journey on the path to caring for a friend or loved one at the end of life. Sensitive, practical and useful, it is an indispensible resource to aid in what can otherwise be a very dark and difficult time.

The first publication of its kind, Urgent Whispers: Care of the Dying by Jerral Sapienza is both a workbook and a resource manual, serving as something of a private tutor and mentor for friends and family of a loved one at the end of life. Its unique "Exercise, Whisper and Discussion" layout is a particularly effective hospice and home hospice training and support resource.
Originally planned only as a softbound in a convenient pocket book size, (4¼" x 7"), early readers and reviewers rallied for a Coil-Bound lay-flat version as well in order to make the exerices and Vigil Notes section more easily accessible, so it is now available in both formats. The book is currently in use in university thanatology, conscious dying & lifespan psychology classes, nursing education and hospice volunteer training courses.
Though either edition is available to stock by ordering its unique ISBN order number, the version most widely available in bookstores will be typically only the paperback edition since, without a spine, bookstores generally don't like coil bindings. Most can order it, if they will, or you may also order one direct from the publisher or via Amazon.COM if you wish.
